TARLAY, Myanmar .- An earthquake damaged the road and bridge Tarlay.
A strong earthquake that hit northeastern Myanmar (Burma) caused at least 70 deaths, but authorities fear the death toll to rise as the situation is known remote areas.

The governor of the Thai province of Chiang Rai, Somchai Hatayatanti reported that dozens of people suffered minor injuries.
Some buildings were quartered in the city of Chiang Rai, 90 km (55 miles) epicenter of the quake. As a precaution, the Thai government will establish a help in Mae Sai.
Burma, a largely rural country, is one of the poorest in Asia. The military government is reluctant to disclose information about disasters because it is sensitive to criticism.
